Cycling route Gentele - 33 km - € 2,00 This cycling route explores the characteristic open polder landscape south-west of Blankenberge, one of the most charming areas of West-Flanders. Leaving from Blankenberge, the route first of all follows the age-old Gentele dike, wich during the Middle Ages kept the hinterland from inundations. By way of Uitkerke and Zuienkerke the 'Meetkerkse Moere' (on the edge of the Bruges conurbation) is reached. The return route leads past charming polder villages like Meetkerke, Houtave and Nieuwmunster and through the nature reserve Uitkerkse Polders.
